Tessa Martin is a graduate of Theatre and Film from Hunter College where she has studied Shakespeare with Claire Bloom and solo-performance with Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis. She has also studied with Uta Hagen at HB Studios. Her stage credits include her one-person show, CaribBeing, written and performed by Tessa, The Rover with the Kings County Shakespeare Company, An Epiphany of Grace at the Miller Theatre, What a Piece of Work is Dan, the musical, at The York Theatre, alieNation, also written and performed by her, at the Museum of Natural History, Home at Theatre 3, Jammin in the Slam Zone at the Henry Street Settlement and Hands In the Mirror at Primary Stages. She was also seen as Queen Isabel in Richard II in a master class conducted by Claire Bloom at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Her film credits include Blue Jazz and NY Valentine which was featured at the Naples Film Festival.
